
• Applaud Ethiopia’s cultural diversity

ADDIS ABABA – Resident Ambassadors of Saudi Arabia, Iran, Pakistan and a consul in Tunisia Embassy have expressed their respective countries support to the government of Ethiopia’s law enforcement operation that has targeted ensuring law and order and bringing the criminal junta to justice.
The ambassadors visited over the weekend an exhibition which depicts the cultural and traditional values of people of Ethiopia organized to mark the 15th Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ Day.
Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Sami Jamil Abdulla said that his country understands that the Ethiopian government has taken the right way to solve the problem and appreciate the way the latter handle the situation.
Noting Saudi’s confidence in Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s (Ph.D) capabilities to overcome the existing challenges, Ambassador Sami stated his optimism that conditions in northern part of Ethiopia would be changed for the better.
Iran’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, Ali Bahreni, for his part, commended the Ethiopian government’s courageous decision to ensure the rule of law following TPLF junta’s treasonous act committed against the national defense forces. “I have congratulated the people and government of Ethiopia for enduring the difficult situation and we always are in favor of Ethiopia’s unity and togetherness.”
By the same token, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, Shozab Abbas highlighted his country’s acknowledgement for efforts the federal government has done to bring normalcy in Tigray State and mobilize different institutions to make the state more safe and secure.
Pakistan fully supports the ongoing law enforcement operation in Tigray State and understands that the situation is fully internal. “Pakistan has also a firm believe that the government of Ethiopia has the capability and potential to ensure law and order.”
The ambassador further extended his congratulations to the people and government of Ethiopia on the victory against those who are trying to derail the development and the progress of the nation.
Stating Tunisia’s full support to Premier Abiy’s government, Consul in Tunisia’s Embassy, Wahd Ben Yenes indicated that his country backs the existing law enforcement campaign. Tunisia has also given a huge place for PM Abiy’s multisectoral reforms that he has introduced over the last two-and-half years. Meanwhile, the ambassadors applauded the cultural diversity in Ethiopia.
To Ambassador Sami, the various cultures, music, cuisine and costumes of people of Ethiopia coupled with the long-cherished history of mutual coexistence appeal to the attention of the diplomatic community to study about the country.
Likewise, Iran’s Ambassador Ali Bahreni said that the cultural exhibition is a very innovative way of showing diversity as an asset of Ethiopia and attest the capability of its people to build a great nation for the international community.
