Ethiopians have been living in peace, harmony, love, and other related aspects with one another since time immemorial. They love their beloved motherland mother than anything under the sun. It is no secret that Ethiopians residing at home and abroad have been partaking in the construction of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam making use of a wide spectrum of activities now and again.
Above and beyond, Ethiopians regardless of age, sexual category, ethnicity, political point of view, and whatnot have been working for the realization of the project. Sadly, Ethiopia, the sole source of the Nile Waters has long been struggling with poverty. But Egypt bringing into play Ethiopia’s Godgiven resources has been transforming the lives of its citizens.
To this point, Ethiopia has not been benefiting from the Nile Waters. It is not able to provide its people residing in most parts of the countryside with electricity. Unambiguously, the only option for Egypt to have an affluent future and good reputation in Eastern Africa is establishing firm collaboration with Ethiopia.
At this point, Ethiopians residing in various parts of the world have been standing together more than ever before. They do not want others to interfere in Ethiopia’s affairs. Be that as it may, regarding the Ethiopian Diaspora Omer Redi, a senior journalist and Managing Director of Ifriqiyah Media and Communications and political commentator – Addis Ababa based PR firm said, “The in promoting their motherland on the world stage. In the past, from the diaspora community, there has not been such strong unity, enthusiasm, and patriotism in favor of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.
“Their patriotic commitment and devotion are out of this world. There are several initiatives and groups that led to the dominance of Ethiopian intellectuals and professionals of the mainstream international media and almost all digital (social media) platforms speaking in unison in defense of the motherland,” he added.
It was to be recalled that Dr. Eng. Tilahun Erduno, President of the Ethiopian Surveying Professionals Association and board member of Renaissance Dam Addis Ababa Park design and construction in an exclusive interview with The Ethiopian Herald said, “Egypt strived to invade Ethiopia for a considerable number of times. Fought so many unjust wars, directly and indirectly, destabilized its peace, organized, and supported anti-Ethiopian guerrilla fighters and radical religious extremist groups. More to the point, Egypt worked hard to destroy the unique classic harmony between Muslims and Christians in Ethiopia.”
“The fact behind all its immoral actions is because it believes that peaceful and prosperous Ethiopia as its external threat which is completely untrue. Therefore, the position of the Egyptian government and its allies concerning GERD is illegal, immoral, so biased and inhumane why for Ethiopia never accept.”
