FIFA President delivers speech at AU

ADDIS ABABA – The world football governing body, FIFA, President Infantino delivered speech at the 32nd Africa Union summit on Sunday here at the AU headquarters in Addis Ababa. In his address to the leaders of Africa and other senior continental officials he remarked about the importance of football at this time the world over.

The number of African participants in the World Cup has dramatically up from the previous five, the President said.

According to him, football is useful to help bring people to people closer relation across the world. “It is also useful to create peaceful coexistence among people. Apart from helping people in the physical exercise, it makes people’s mind sound,” he added.
