ADDIS ABABA- Journalists in collaboration with Fikir-Ethiopia National Association on Intellectual Disability (ENAID) have provided food and Personal Protective Equipment to help intellectually disabled people withstand COVID-19 pandemic.
The journalists provided support for 25 people at a cost of 15,000 Birr.
Demoz Kefelgn a mother of a nine year boy with an intellectual disability said though the support seems small, it has a greater value for her son.
“I got nothing to provide for my son. Others also need to provide these kinds of support for the needy,” she said.
Yohanes Gezahign, who coordinated the journalists, said all stakeholders need to follow suit.
ENAID is supporting 5000 people with intellectual disability.
