ADDIS ABABA- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strengthened its diplomatic and economic relations with Ethiopia through people-to-people ties, the country’s Embassy to Ethiopia said.
In commemoration of Zayed Humanitarian Day, the UAE Embassy distributed yesterday iftar (Ramadan dinner) food packages to the needy and charitable organizations funded by the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation
Such events are underway as part of the mission’s activities during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
The Embassy further expressed UAE’s desire to strengthen the long-standing bilateral ties with Ethiopia in creating strong people-to people relation.
Besides the ever-growing economic relation with Ethiopia, UAE also plays active role in providing humanitarian aid through Emirates Red Crescent and building schools and digging water wells in some remote parts of the country.
