It is no secret that whenever people fall in trouble, they leave no stone unturned to get to the bottom of the problem bringing into play a wide spectrum of techniques while others stick to religious texts such as the Lord will fight for you, and you won’t have to do a thing. Be strong and courageous. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will act and whatnot. Likewise, whenever Ethiopians encounter a certain problem, they do not bat an eye to take the bull by the horns no matter what the cost may be.
Furthermore, they embark on stretching out a helping hand to their compatriots almost immediately seeing that they give priority to their motherland. It is no secret that whenever the country needs help, Ethiopian Diasporas do not shillyshally to stand by the side of their fellow citizens. As everyone is well aware, the COVID-19 pandemic has been spreading in every nook and cranny of the world at an alarming rate and claiming the lives of thousands of people and thus people living under the world skies have been trembling with fear. Though people stick to the dos and don’ts of the World Health Organization prevention guidelines time and again, the disease is keeping chasing the world economy irrespective of age, sex, religion, ethnicity, race, and what have you. What is more, the pandemic is pouring cold water on air transport, tourism, and among others. In the same way, the COVID-19 pandemic is getting people to help one another.
Recently, the Ethiopian Diaspora Fund made public a fundraising program via the internet with a view to mitigating the COVID-19 disease from the face of the country and stands by the side of Ethiopians in the fight against protecting the pandemic. By the same token, the trust fund has made up its mind to donate for the time being one million dollars with a view to playing a part in preventing the pandemic of COVID-19. Above and beyond, when Tamagne Beyene opened a go fund me project targeting at helping Ethiopia in relation to COVID-19, quite a large number of Ethiopian Diasporas set in motion supporting. The news grew to be the talk of everyone in the shortest possible time.
Whatever happens, Ethiopian Diasporas do not give the cold shoulder to their motherland whenever it needs their help. As they are bound by blood and bones, they do not bat an eye to contribute their share for their motherland. When it comes to helping one another Ethiopians stand shoulder high in this regard. As of the time COVID-19 took shape and form, Ethiopians living in different parts of the world have been lending their hands to their fellow citizens. As everything in life comes and goes and nothing lasts forever, Ethiopians spare no efforts to stand by the side of their compatriots at the drop of a hat.
