ADDIS ABABA (FBC) – The Federal Attorney General has granted pardon for 1, 559 inmates today.
This is in addition to the 4,010 inmates who were pardoned last week to curb the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in prisons.
Of the 1, 559 inmates, 48 are women, said Attorney General Adanech Abebe.
The inmates were granted pardon by President Sahle-Work Zewde in accordance with the constitution.
