Since day one the call for the midwifery role of Ethiopians for the GERD was announced, citizens have been egger to circumvent all challenges, erected on its way. Deducting from their modest income, Ethiopians, most of which lead a hand –to-mouth life, are giving their money for the dam.
For years, the people’s eyes are on the dam. They have been facing internal and external challenges.
Because, all Ethiopians hope that the dam will be Africa’s biggest hydroelectric power plant that could supply to Ethiopia and some neighbors a huge amount of electricity and energy.
With the same fervor citizens have continued paying costs for the dam without hurting others and they do not succumb to any negative perceptions and coercion from any parties.
