The Israeli Ambassador in Ethiopia Raphael Morav had a breif discussion with Dr. Debretsion Gebremichael alongside to his visit to “Week of Science and Technology” in Mekelle.
The President of Tigray State Dr. Debretsion received the Ambassador in his office and held discussions on possible cooperation in various development arenas.
They have discussed on how Israel and Tigray could engage in multifaceted development cooperations.
In a short joint brief to the Press of the Office of the Regional State, Dr. Tsega Berhane and Dr. Gebremeskel Gebremariam head and deputy head of Tigray Sceince and Technology Bureau said that the Ambassador discussed with group of innovators and technological experts.
The aim of the Ambassador’s visit is to observe the possible innovative capacity in Tigray and thereby to make connections with companies in his country working in enhancing Science and Technology, they confirmed. The two parties agreed to cooperate on capacity building and experience sharing between Israel and Tigray State.
The Ambassador has visited the Science and Technology Exhibition, Mesfin Engineering, Tigray Tissue Culture, Alena Techno and other Workshops.
According to Dr. Tsega, the Ambassador has explained the readiness of his country to share the experiences in the field with Tigray State. “Having known the innovative capacity and skills in the State, Ambassador Raphael Morav expressed his desire to cement links between companies in Israel with companies in Tigray State.
