ADDIS ABABA – Filsan Abdullahi Ahmed who is among the volunteer ambassadors recognized by the government called on the youths to focus on unity by emulating the lessons of forefathers/foremothers who defeated colonialists at the Battle of Adwa.
Filsan who is the founder and owner of Nabad TV told The Ethiopian Herald that ancestors had proven the power of unity driving out the invading Italians from every nook and cranny of the country. “we need to draw a lesson from our forefathers/foremothers who had given their all for the nation’s freedom.”
Right now, the youths should be able to come together to fight poverty.
It is to be recalled that the Ministry of Peace recognized five individuals as Volunteer ambassadors last Sunday at the launching of the National Voluntary Service Program in the presence of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and other high government officials.
