FM Gedu confers with Ivorian Tribal King Tchiffie Zie Jean Gervais

ADDIS ABABA – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gedu Andargachew met and exchanged views with King Tchiffie Zie Jean Gervais, the Permanent Secretary General of the Forum of Kings, Princes, Sheiks and Traditional Leaders of Africa.

Gedu asserted that Ethiopia attaches great importance to the roles played by the traditional leaders as a non-political and social development advocacy platform. The Forum of Kings, Princes, Sheiks and Traditional Leaders of Africa was established in August 2008 in Benghazi, Libya.

The King underscored the need to deepen the people to people relations among Africans and as a testament to that he explained his engagement in establishing Ethiopian and Côte d’Ivoire Friendship Association in Abidjan.

The king is also Prime Chancellor of the United Kingdoms of Africa, a “non-political, social development advocacy platform which functions in support of Presidency and National Government, institutions and peoples to support the National Development Plans.”
