Public Euphoria at Shabab Alahli Stadium

Nobody denies the fact that Ethiopia was backing itself into corner and getting off its track time and again. Back in the day, the sad situation of the country was hanging in the balance.

Each and every one countrywide was concerned about the whole thing surfacing in the length and breadth of the country. To cut a long story short, everybody was losing hope.

When Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed took office, Ethiopia embarked on getting back on the right track at the stroke of a pen. As everyone is aware, the premier managed to assume power amid an unfavorable political and social crisis that hit the county for nearly three decades. To the surprise of everyone, he kept on making the unthinkable thinkable and the impossible possible.

Likewise, aside from making Ethiopians be by a long way happy by attaching significance to his fellow citizens living in various parts of the world, he kept on getting himself involved in various reforms.

Following his hard work and determination, he was able to win the hearts and minds of everyone at the drop of a hat and thus he turned out to be the talk of the world.

Every so often, he kept on wowing everyone making use of his amazing works. International electronic and print media outlets counting described him as “one of the most self-motivated and fascinating politicians to appear in modern Africa.”

Recently, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed was able to meet with about 15,000 members of the Ethiopian diaspora living in the Middle East countries at Shabab Alahli Stadium positioned in Dubai. What is more, he managed to hold fruitful consultations with 300 community representatives and leaders of Ethiopian diaspora residing in the Middle East countries.

Be that as it may, when the premier all of a sudden showed up with high government Ethiopian officials, all the diaspora community in the stadium set in motion clapping and ululating. They gave color to the welcoming ceremony. The whole lot was pleasant to look at.

After a moment, prime minister Abiy Ahmed jumpstarted addressing the Ethiopian diaspora community. He said: “I was able to take advantage of an opportunity to discuss in person with Ethiopian Diasporas living in the USA, Europe, and South Africa. Today, I am infinitely happy to meet in person with Ethiopians residing in the Middle East countries.”

All of you have come here to get yourselves engaged in any field possible and revolutionize your lives and that of your fellow citizens. The contribution you have been making for your motherland passing through many ups and downs should be matchlessly brought to light.

“As we have signed mutual agreements with the governments of Middle East countries, you can work with dignity and labor rights. Your government understands that Ethiopia is cherished when you are valued and as a result, we make every effort to protect your rights and dignity.”

I have heartfelt admiration for your tolerance and attention-grabbing coordination to welcome me warmly and express your love,” he added.

During his stay, the premier was able to hold talks with the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Hon. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum targeting at resolving challenges and replying to a wide spectrum of questions posed by Ethiopians living in Dubai and throughout the Arab Emirates. In his three-day state visit he made mercy to be granted to Ethiopians who had been in jails and restricted in refugee camps due to a wide spectrum of reasons.

In the same way, residence permits have been granted for those interested to live in UAE. Most of them have been expressing their infinitely happy holding back tears for what the premier has done for them.

Through discussion, Premier Abiy Ahmed has found the middle ground with the governments of UAE countries to legalize asymmetrical migrants to get residence. More to the point about 137 Ethiopian immigrants who have made up their minds to return to their motherland have returned home with Prime Minister Abiy.
