• Shows zero tolerance to wrongdoers
ADDIS ABABA – The Attorney General admonished officials in the political leadership who have been involving in criminal acts while expressing commitment to show zero tolerance to any wrongdoer.
Deputy Prime Minister, Demeke Mekonnen headed yesterday an urgent meeting that participated the various states’ chiefs and leadership of federal and states justice and security bureaus and reaffirmed its resolve to apprehended people suspected of orchestrating ethnic clashes and destructions of religious institutions as well as culprits of crimes at higher education institutions.
Disregarding the government’s amnesty to certain convicted people, and the suspension of court cases to several others, certain people are being involved in criminal activities which have resulted in the loss of lives and destruction of public and private property.
Casting hope as the challenges would be a short-lived one, the statement warned as it would take lasting measures on those who attempt to distract its activities in detaining the suspects.
