ADDIS ABABA (FBC) – Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed held a community dialogue yesterday with Yabelo town residents in the Borena zone of Oromia State.
In his remarks, the Prime Minister reminded town members to continue nurturing the values of love and peace, anchored in unity, as foundations for economic and social development, according to office of the Prime Minister.
Elders from the community reflected on the path of democratization Ethiopia has taken, citing the related religious and other freedoms that have been witnessed over the past two years.
They also raised questions related to infrastructure, water and electricity requirements in the area as well as initiatives that address the needs of pastoralist communities.
The Prime Minister, together with Deputy Chief Administrator of Oromia Regional State, Shimeles Abdissa and other high-level government officials went to Yabelo Monday.
