ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopian cultural troupe has injected new energy to Ethio-Eritrean friendship and comprehensive cooperation through staging very entertaining performances in Keren, Massawa and Asmara.
Opening the musical and cultural show on Sunday in Asmara, Ambassador Zemede Tekle, Commissioner of Eritrean Culture and Sports Commission, said the Ethiopian cultural delegation presented magnificent performances and have carried out meaningful cultural performances that would further strengthen the people to people ties.
Appreciating all members of the Ethiopian cultural delegation, he thanked the Ethiopian Ambassador to Eritrea, Redwan Hussen for his extra effort in making the delegation’s tour in Eritrea successful.
For her part, Ethiopia’s Culture and Tourism State Minister, Bezunesh Meseret said: “We are very grateful for the warm reception of the Eritrean people and government. I am so hopeful that our success in cultural exchange would play pivotal role in enhancing the two sisterly countries’ cooperation across all fronts.”
She said the delegation have visited a number of historical places and tourist attractions during their stay in Eritrea and so pleased to have such wonderful visit.
All the cultural troupe’s performances were broadcasted live by Eritrean Television. The Ethiopian delegation comprising officials from the Ministries of Culture and Tourism and Foreign Affairs as well as artists and renowned singers and musicians were arrived in Asmara last Monday.
