Ethiopians basking under the global limelight

Ethiopia is a country marked great in the world. When it comes to civilization, history paints the country in golden inks signifying its being atop the pioneering nations.

The country has also kept on giving birth to heroes and heroines every time.

The Alfred Nobel Peace Prize Committee Chairperson, Berti Reiss-Andersen also has drawn attention to Ethiopia’s being the cradle of mankind saying “We are all Ethiopians”.

Ethiopian heroes of these days are seeing to the furtherance of their fathers and mothers’ legacy. In so doing they are amazing the world.

The man on par with a philosopher king and the leader who believes that peace must prevail in the hearts and minds of citizens, ethnic or religious groups and countries, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has just received the 2019 Alfred Nobel Peace Prize Award in Oslo, Norway.

It is also a recent world news that Ethiopian lady Freweini Mebrahtu has been named the CNN’s Hero of the Year by way of recognition of her work on managing menstruation and keeping girls in school as well as fighting to end the cultural stigma attached with menstruation.

The other Ethiopian Airlines CEO, Tewolde Gebremariam, has been awarded as ‘Airline Executive of the Year’ by Centre for Aviation (CAPA) in Malta.

The legendary Ethiopian athlete Derartu Tulu, who always puts on a beaming face, too has become the 2019 world athletics award winner as woman of the year.
