State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Hirut Zemene bade farewell to the departing Ambassador of the Republic of Angola to Ethiopia, Ambassador Arcanjo dos Nascimento on today.
Mrs. Hirut underlined that Ethiopia and Angola have a longstanding diplomatic relationship, describing the ties between the two countries as being excellent ever since Ethiopia supported Angola’s anti-colonial struggle.
The State Minister noted that Ethiopia and Angola have enjoyed strong bilateral cooperation in aviation industry, pointing out that Ethiopian Airlines flies to Angola five times a week.
According to The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia,The two sides underscored the need to further strengthen the bilateral cooperation. In such score, they underlined the importance of establishing a joint Ministerial Commission to expand the scope of economic and political engagements.
