ADDIS ABABA- Tourists that came to attend the unique Epiphany festival celebrated every year on January 19 said that Ethiopia is the ideal place to experience the wonders of history, culture, and religion.
Tourists from Great Britain, Germany, and France who spoke to The Ethiopian Herald here in the Capital also stated that Ethiopia is rich in tourist attractions that catch the attention of visitors. Oriane Breyton, who came from France, is spending her honeymoon here in Addis Ababa for a week. Previously, Orian said that she did not know anything about Africa.
After she came to Ethiopia, she noticed that Ethiopia is a nice country with history. “I have the opportunity to spend my honeymoon here in the lovely Capital of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa.
During my stay, I have been touring the City,” Orian said adding she has experienced the unique Ethiopian traditional dishes, the hospitality of the people and the tourism and other services made her honeymoon unforgettable. “I have spent a nice time in the country with many cultures.” Ronald Parez is a German medical doctor in his late 60s.
Approached by this reporter inside the Ethiopian National Museum in Addis Ababa while he was touring the country for three week said he is planning to attend the Ethiopian Epiphany festival in Gondar. Parez said that he came to Ethiopia to know the country more and enjoy its wildlife scene in the national parks, the Great Rift Valley lakes, and the active volcano in Afar.
“In Germany, I got the chance to acquire some idea about the ancient history of King Solomon of Israel and Queen Sheba of Ethiopia. I am very much interested to see the history of the religion and this legacy.” Kajeynan Jeya, a physics teacher and construction operator who came from London, also said he is visiting Ethiopia to attend the Epiphany holiday and he found it interesting to visit the country.
Ethiopia is a country with along history and culture and is never colonized. It is definitely a unique part of the Continent of Africa. “I am visiting Ethiopia for the first time.
It is interesting. I know some basic history about Ethiopia such as the affiliation of Rastafarians and Emperor Hailesslasie. The Ethiopian Church is also very famous. I have visited the Ethiopian National and Ethnographic Museums. It is amazing to see the history. It is beyond my expectations.”
