• Urged competing parties, public to uphold support

Accordingly, during its ordinary session from 6 to 8 November, the executive committee of the Front had deliberated on the study conducted on the raised issues. In line with the procedures of the front, the council has ratified with consensus the proposal for merger, party program and statute after two days-long discussion and thorough scrutiny.

The council has lauded member parties for their efforts to maintain thus far achievements of the front and rectify its weaknesses, as well as affiliate parties for their struggle against the front’s approach that sidelined them in the past.

It further called on competing political parties to work together on issues of mutual interest through civilized, peaceful and legal means and contribute their share to deliver the country to prosperity.

The statement further urged the public to work hand in hand to preserve the nation’s diversity and build a prosperous Ethiopia.
