ADDIS ABABA – The construction of the state-owned Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) headquarters is expected to complete during the fourth quarter of Ethiopian fiscal year, disclosed the bank.
The cornerstone of the tallest multistory building was laid in 2015 placing emphasis on taking the bank services to a new episode. The key player in the construction of the Headquarters at the cost of six Billion Birr is China State Construction Engineering Corporation and the consultant is Addis Ababa University Institute of Technology.
In an exclusive interview with The Ethiopian Herald, Acting Corporate Communication Director of the bank, Yabsira Kebede disclosed that the building would be one of the tallest in Africa encompassing fifty-three stories with a wide spectrum of eye-catching features.
“Aside from providing customers with quite a lot of heartwarming services, the headquarters takes account of conference tourism hall, market center and parking spaces. When the headquarters becomes operational, it would take the bank’s service to a new chapter of success without a shadow of a doubt in addition to exquisiteness it would add to the capital city,” he wrapped up.
