ADDIS ABABA- Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed has called on Ethiopian ambassadors and diplomats to enlighten the world about the objective reality of the country in their respective embassies.
The PM made the remark yesterday while holding discussion with the diplomats about the reform process being underway at Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ethiopia’s Foreign Affairs Policy. According to Office of the Prime Minister, Dr. Abiy stressed that the ambassadors need to understand today’s fast changing world and align ideas and activities with the country’s Foreign Affairs Policy.
Furthermore, he reminded the diplomats the big role they are expected to play in implementing government’s policy and know the policies of countries of appointment. The ambassadors have also role to ensure the rights and benefits of Ethiopians living and working in the respective countries.
