ADDIS ABABA- President Sahlework Zewdie reiterates Ethiopia’s desire to bring new dimension into the already existing fruitful ties with China putting in place sustainable cooperation strategies.
Indicating the fact that Ethiopia has sound foreign policy which has drawn many regional and global partners to the country based on mutual understanding, she said her country will further enhance ties with China to ensure ultimate benefits of both countries’ peoples.
For his part, Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi said Ethiopia is in the best position than ever in maintaining diplomatic relations with his country. He also vowed his government’s commitment to assist the reform efforts started few months ago in expediting the industrialization and enhancing human resource development, among others.
The Foreign Minister also appreciated Ethiopia’s active role in Forum on China–Africa Cooperation (FOCAC). In a related news, the Foreign Minister delivered President Xi Jinping’s invitation to attend the second Belt and Road Forum to Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed.
