
On May 19, 2025, the publication release and seminar of the book “The Chinese Imprint on World Currency” and periodicals were held in Beijing. Assistant Minister Hong Lei attended and delivered a speech.
Ambassadors to China from over 10 countries including Egypt, Algeria, Fiji, Sir Lanka, and Cape Verde, as well as senior diplomats were present.
Nearly 100 guests, including Wang Haihuai, General Manager of China Communication Construction Company (CCCC), Wu Shangzhi, President of the China Periodical Association, and leaders of relevant Central enterprises participated in the event, which was hosted by Cui Chun, Chairman of the World Affairs Press.
Assistant Minister Hong Lei fully affirmed the era value promoted by the publication of the book and periodicals and highly praised the achievements of Chinese enterprises in the Belt and Road Initiatives (BRI).
He stated that the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind, as well as the Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative, and Global Civilization Initiative, proposed by President Xi Jinping, have provided Chinese solutions for countries to address global challenges and build a better world, and have gained the recognition and support of an increasing number of countries.
Hong Lei emphasized that mutual respect; peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation are the right ways for countries to interact with each other. Building a community with a shared future for mankind is a trend of the times and the aspiration of people around the world.
It is the future and destiny of people in all countries. China is willing to continue to play the role of the “motor” and “main engine” of the world economy, adhere to the cooperation-oriented approach, the principal of openness and the basis of equality and continue to contribute to addressing global challenges.
The Chinese side is willing to join hands with countries around the world to jointly implement the BRI and the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind and contribute more strength to world peace, development and prosperity.
General Manger Wang Haihuai introduced the company’s experience and insights in participating in the BRI, stating that CCCC always keeps in mind President Xi Jinping’s important instructions of “high standards, sustainability, and people’s well-being,” and has deeply implemented the BRI.
The company has carried out business in 158 countries and regions around the world, and has continuously contributed CCCC’s wisdom and strength to the high-quality development of the joint construction of the BRI.
Wang Haihuai said that standing at a new historical starting point, CCCC will promote the Silk Road spirit, coordinate the “ hard connectivity” of infrastructure, the “soft connectivity” of rules and standards and the “heart connectivity” with the people of the countries involved in the joint construction and make new and greater contributions to building a community with a shared future for mankind and global sustainable development.
The envoys present at the meeting positively evaluated the BRI and the construction projects of Chinese enterprises, highly recognized and supported the concept of a community with a shared future for humanity and expressed their countries’ willingness to continue to deepen people-to-people exchanges and pragmatic cooperation with China.
Journalists from over 30 foreign media outlets, including those from Pakistan, Laos, Fiji, Tonga, Angola, Jamaica and Kazakhstan, as well as from China’s mainstream media such as the People’s Daily, Xinhua News Agency, and China Media Group, provided on-site coverage.
