Celebrating Ethiopia’s new era: Seven-year reform’s success

Public organize rallies to celebrate successes of national reform

Ethiopians across the country celebrated the successes and achievements of the national reform on April 02, where the reformist leaders Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) inaugurated as Ethiopian Prime Minister on 2018.

To celebrate the achievements of the reform and to show support for the ongoing reform measures, rallies were took place across different urban centers in Oromia, Afar, Benishangul-Gumuz, Somalia, Harari, Southwest Ethiopia, South Ethiopia and other regional states.

The demonstrations were held under the central theme: “Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow for Ethiopia’s Greatness!”

To acknowledge the achievements and successes registered on the political, social, economic and diplomatic reform results, the public stage rallies where thousands of citizens took to the streets across the country.

      -Federal institutions celebrate successes of reform

Ministers and federal government institutions celebrated the achievements of the seven-year reform through panel discussions. Ministry of Planning and Development, Ministry of Transport and Logistics, Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration, Ministry of Innovation and Technology and other ministries and federal institutions organized panel discussions to discuss the achievements of the national reform and the reform’s blessings for the development of each respective institution.

In this regard, the reform was praised in assigning committed leadership, in project execution, in bringing good governance, in combating corruption and ill administration during the reform years. Similarly, every sector scores outstanding results by implementing reform measures and in creating suitable environment.

          -Ethiopia, Uganda strengthen diplomatic ties

The fourth joint Ethiopia-Uganda Ministerial Commission was opened on Friday here in Addis Ababa to discuss areas of mutual cooperation and strengthen their bilateral ties to new height.

During the first day of the ministerial meeting, the two countries signed seven Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) covering areas of cooperation in energy sector, technical cooperation in agriculture, animal industry and fishery, industrial cooperation, aviation training, cooperation in air craft accidents and incident investigations, trade as well as water resource development and management.

Strengthening bilateral and multilateral relations is at the nucleus of Ethiopia’s national reform diplomatic approach.
