As a result, nations from near and far have been eager to redefine their alliance with Ethiopia. From East Africa to Far East, from Europe to Asia, dozens of nations from all hemispheres of the globe have already expressed their desire to elevate diplomatic and economic ties with Ethiopia.

There is a solid rationale behind this growing sentiment to forge strong relations with the ‘Africa’s capital’, Ethiopia, The nation’s expanding economy, strategic location, and big population have placed it at the first rung of countries’ partnership list. With the country rapidly becoming a regional superpower and diplomatic hub in addition to its strong standing in regional and global frontiers suffice it to mention its recent accession to BRICS group, nations both from the eastern and western blocs have been trying to bolster their partnership with the country.

Already considered an anchor state in the Horn of Africa, the country has also been a key player in global affairs. As the country’s diplomatic clout has gained momentum, the exchange of visits has increased as well. So does the number of foreign missions, countries have been opening their embassies and consulates in Addis.

And, lately, leaders of dozens of nations have paid official visits to the country. In recent talks with Israel and the Netherlands, Ethiopia has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing diplomatic and economic cooperation prosperity, focusing on shared priorities such as peace, regional stability, and mutual benefits.

The fact is as the globe hankers down in wide ranges and complex scenarios, strengthening cooperation and amicability than enmity is a must do task. And Ethiopia proves to be a loyal ally and a decisive actor in redressing regional and global problems.
