Premier gives thumbs up for Fasilides renovation works

ADDIS ABABA – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) remarked that the progress of the renovation works at Fasilides and the corridor development initiatives in the city of Gonder is truly encouraging.

In his social media post, the premier extended heartfelt appreciation to everyone involved, including the gracious and hospitable residents of Gonder.

Fasilides is one of Ethiopia’s world heritages that attract international tourists.

The Ethiopian emperor Fasilides and his successors lived in the fortress-city of Fasil Ghebbi during the 16th and 17th centuries.

The city, which is encircled by a wall that is 900 meters long, is home to palaces, churches, monasteries, and other distinctive public and private structures.
