ADDIS ABABA- United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) announced that Ethiopia hosts the 14th edition of the Global Forum on Human Settlements (GFHS 2019).
As one of the most important globalcongresses on the urban agenda, sustainable cities and human settlements, the theme of the forum is “Sustainable Development of Cities and Human Settlement in the Digital Era.”
The two day forum, which starts today, will be supporting campaigns on smart city and the use of digital technology forinclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable cities on the Africa continent and beyond, UNECA stated.
It also commits to strengthen capacity building, and foster new partnerships, boost urban innovation, accelerate effective actions, and support various parts of Africa and beyond.
