Ethiopia, UK Agree to Expand Bilateral Cooperation

State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Hirut Zemene received Ms Harriett Baldwin, UK’s Minister of State for Africa at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on November 26, and the two sides have agreed to expand the bilateral cooperation between Ethiopia and the United Kingdom.

The two officials noted the growing trade and investment ties between Ethiopia and the United Kingdom, and emphasized the need to strengthen the level of trade and investment cooperation further ahead.

According to the information from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Ethiopia and the UK have trade ties worth 2billion USD.

Ms Harriett Baldwin expressed her country’s continued commitment to support efforts of ensuring peace and stability and regional economic integration in the Horn of Africa region.
