As it is planned to undertake the evaluation with Ethiopians, the provision of training and preparation has taken some time.

Furthermore, the rating of lodges and restaurants is going to be carried out in the upcoming Ethiopian New Year. So far, some 83 hotels were awarded one to four stars following the second hotel grading held in 2019.

The ministry is also open to accepting complaints about the process of rating.
