Museum set to open to public on Victory Day

ADDIS ABABA- The Addis Ababa Mega Projects Construction Office (MPCO) announced that the Adwa Museum Project would be inaugurated and fully gone operational on the upcoming Adwa Victory Day.

Journalists drawn from local and international media visited the project yesterday.

In his explanation to media professionals, the office CEO Engineer DeboTunka said that the project would be officially launched and put into operation on March 2, 2024.

The museum is one of the multipurpose mega projects that are under construction in the capital and currently over 95 percent of the work has been completed.

Upon completion, the project will provide various services including shopping, restaurants, sports, transport, museum, theater, cinema, meeting halls, and many others.

Along with the major project site, the construction of plazas that display Ethiopians’ heroism, national symbols including the Abay Dam is the underway and expected to complete next month, the CEO added.

Addis Ababa Mayor’s Office Head Tilahun Worku on his part said that project is a pillar of Ethiopia’s unity,

The City Administration is carrying out several human-centered mega projects that are meant to address social and economic problems and the Adwa Zero Kilometer Museum Project has become the grandeur of Adwa Victory. “It is a project that shows that when we Ethiopians stand together and become united we can go beyond ourselves and be an example to the black people,” Tilahun remarked.

Over 185 local and international media leaders, reporters, and communication experts visited the current status of the project and got extensive briefings on services that the center will provide upon completion.
