Reaching for those affected by terrorist TPLF

The Ethiopian Diaspora in the UK reaffirmed commitment to continue raising funds in aid of the people displaced following TPLF’s offensive on neighboring states. On 23 October 2021, another fundraising event was held in Coventry in the presence of Ambassador Teferi Meles who applauded members of the community for their solidarity with the People and Government of Ethiopia.

He further called upon the diaspora to continue raising financial and material support to the displaced people in Gondar, Wollo and Afar.

Ethiopia has abundant cultural and natural resources. The government has been working to tap these resources for sustainable national development until it has been obstructed by TPLF through threatening the national security and distracting public property.

Though the government swiftly dismantled the TPLF, the terrorist group is exhumed by the external entities that have their own hidden interests in fishing in troubled waters.

Currently, some international media outlets are engaged in disinformation about the situation in Ethiopia especially with regard to the national survival campaign. According to him, some external enemies are conniving with Egypt working against the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam and mongering to the colonial era water share

 accord between Egypt and Sudan that let Ethiopia, the country that originate some 85 percent of Blue Nile River Water with 0 percent possession. “Therefore, we have to stand together to achieve our national interest,” Ambassador Teferi said.
