Kedir Jawar becomes new Dire Dawa city Mayor

  • Council appoints Fetiya Adem as Speaker

ADDIS ABABA– Newly formed Dire Dawa City Council has appointed Kedir Jawar as Mayor of the city.

In his inaugural speech yesterday , he pledged to restore inclusive administration so as to endure social ties of the people  which have been challenged during the last few years.

Kedir had been working as Deputy Mayor of Dire Dawa for the last three years, it was learnt.

He has put various efforts to preserve peace and stability during the hard times, The Ethiopian Herald learnt.

 In related news, the city council has also appointed Fetiya Adem as speaker of the council. Fetiya has also promised to the council that she will work in favor of the people.” I would like to promise you that I will serve all the people fairly.” She also vowed to promote habit of mutual benefit in the council.
