Following the results of the recently held 6th national election, the regional governments are set to form new government structures at their respective regional level ahead of the federal government’s formation expected to be set up early October
Accordingly, the new Oromia regional government has been formed its new regional government on Friday at a conference held by Chefe Oromia.
The members won seats at the Chefe Oromia had formed a body that will lead the region for five years.
The new cabinet is expected to first appoint new cabinet members, including the new head of state.
The President and Vice-Presidents of the Regional Supreme Court shall be appointed;
Oromia Regional State Constitutional Inquiry Council will be set up.
Regional states including the Amhara, Gambella, Sidama, SNNPS and Benishangul Gumuz had also announced the day to commence their new governments.
