Ethiopians wherever they are, they do not sit quietly when their country confronts challenges. When theirhomeland, in which they were born and raised, they spent both the good and bad moments, faces a difficult situation, they would not fail to standby the side of it, said GadiYibarkenan Ethiopian at birth and an Israelis in nationality.
“We all are duty-bounded to enable Ethiopia overcome all the challenges it has encountered at the present time, and to brighten its future, said Gadi, who is also member of Israeli Parliament.
Mentioning that Israelites (Ethiopian descent/Beta Israelites)are more concerned about Ethiopia and its peoples, the Parliamentarian said that, when a country is absorbed by undesirable situation, standing by its side and be part of the solution is a must.
Detaching Ethiopia from poverty and misery and assisting it to attain the desired rate of growth is everyone’s responsibility. “I have no doubt Ethiopia would overcome all the challenges it has faced now and demonstrate its strength to the world. We all are ready to stand by the side of the Government of Ethiopia,”Gadivowed.
True, Ethiopians wherever they are and in what situation they may be; they always think of their homeland, and they do not keep their lips sealed or give cold shoulder because this is not the culture of Ethiopians and it is not their true identity they are known for.
Needless to say this is a criticalmoment for Ethiopia and Ethiopians. It is also a time that Ethiopians should join hands and stand as one in order to defend the nation from its internal and external enemies. To this effect, all should exert utmost effort in this regard.Ethiopians, be it living at home or abroad should be ambassadors of our country and disclosed the reality on the ground irrespective of any differences.
As Urban Development and Construction Minister Eng. Aisha Mohammed stated recently, we are now at the chapter of history whereall of us have to affirm that we are ambassadors of our country.
“In every effort that is made to substantiate to international community that Ethiopiais anationit never interferes in other countries affairs; and on no occasion it allows others to meddle in its own matters, we shouldprove of being ambassadors of our country and human right defenders.”
Ethiopia’s internal and external enemies that are working day in day out to dismantle the country and hinder its development progress have shown the level of their wickednesssquarely through leaving no stone unturned to realize their dream.
However, all the ups and downs would end up so soon, the darkness would disappear and light would shine in Ethiopia’s horizon. The path which looks like crooked now will be straightand Ethiopia would return to its previous glory becausethe reform we have already embarked on haspopular supportcountrywide, she added.
According to her, the just ended year was a time that the nation was intertwined with various challenges.Ranging from the destructive acts of anti-peace elements to the COVID-19pandemic which isof course a nerve-wracking ordeal for global community, the nation has been tested a lot. However, knowing the fact that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, it has registered encouraging results.
“We have to sustain our togetherness with the National Defense Forces who are sacrificing their lives in order to abort the existential threat that we have encountered today owing to our internal and external enemies, and in the end, to herald our victory loudly and narrate it proudly in later days,”she remarked.
It is true that Ethiopia though is in some type of difficulties and its enemies conspire to dismantle it, it would not fall apart as they wished. Overpowered or bowed down had not been in its history and it would not be now and even in the future because of itsvaliant and committed children. Ethiopians whenevertheir country is in trouble, they gather together, support each other and stand as one to defend it from any forces. And this is the real identity of Ethiopians and Ethiopianism.
As primeMinister Abiy Ahmed once stated in relation to the Day of Ethiopianism celebrated a couple of weeks ago; Ethiopianism is the identity of Ethiopians. It is an essence that ties and unites all Ethiopians as one. Ethiopianism is the nucleus that compels all Ethiopians who have their own language, identity, religion, culture and value to stand together and revolve forone national purpose-for Ethiopianism.
For our Ethiopianism, our diversity is its pillar, our heroism is its anchor, our unity is its forte and our freedom is its way.
