No matter where they live and no matter what their political stand is, Ethiopians always have common ground on the issue of their motherland and its sovereignty. This is not a fable or created for the sake of pleasing politicians. This is a fact where the true essence of Ethiopia is crafted and molded.
Following government`s law enforcement operations against the traitor, terrorist TPLF, Ethiopians living abroad and others have been supporting the effort of the government in various forms.
This act of supporting the nation includes lobbying, peaceful demonstrations that denouncing inhuman actions of terrorist TPLF enterprise and providing all the necessary financial and moral support though it is unwelcomed ones among Ethiopia’s enemies and those who do not want to see prosperous Ethiopia.
In its recent announcement Ethiopian American Civic Council has made it clear that Biden`s Administration sanction is violating Ethiopia`s sovereignty and did not recognize the situation at home.
Terrorists have something in common. They have a blurred vision to peace and stability. No matter how hard the other party strives or has determination for peaceful talk or commitment for ceasing fire, terrorists always prefer the hardest and harshest way. They always consider claiming the life of innocents, children, women and stirring the peace of that particular nation. This is witnessed within the past years where the TPLF junta was removed from power.
No matter how the government tried to avoid bloodshed; or it was patient enough to junta’s treacherous moves, the terrorist TPLF has preferred the evil ways and it has quenched its thirst for blood by sacrificing innocent Tigrian children.
When it comes to “Terrorism” there is a famous and common word that American leaders use, “We don`t negotiate with terrorist.” Indeed, the right and legitimate way is avoiding terrorism.
Be it in the form of anti-terrorist measure or any other means, demolishing anti-peace elements is critical to preserve peace.
That is why Americans are spending billions of dollars and sacrificing the lives of their soldiers for the sake of punishing terrorists and ceasing terrorism. However, when it comes to other countries, they prefer to stand by the side of the terrorists instead of supporting the government. This is being witnessed repeatedly in Ethiopia.
As it was indicated by Ethiopian American Civic Council, while TPLF is labeled as a terrorist group by Ethiopian House of People Representatives, Biden`s Administration is preparing to pass sanctions against Ethiopia, which is illegal and immoral.
Ethiopia is a sovereign state ruled by its own constitution and member of the UN. For this and other reasons, Ethiopia`s measures against terrorist TPLF should be considered as a right and a just action of a sovereign state.
According to the Council, Biden`s pressure to negotiate with the terrorist TPLF violates Ethiopia`s dignity and sovereignty. What is more, starting from the begginig, it has chosen the wrong direction; TPLF junta has been targeting civilians and destroying public facilities including hospitals, schools, and religious institutions.
If the Biden Administration had had an eye that can see the sufferings of innocent people and ears that can hear the cries and woes of those innocent children mascaraed by the TPLF`s, it would have not attempted to put pressure on the government to negotiate with terrorists.
As the government is striving to bring peace and protect civilians from the hunger and civil war, the TPLF junta has been using civilians as its shield to perform its mean activities and plunder stores of humanitarian organizations which is the other worst side of the junta.
Ethiopia is a sovereign land with committed sons and daughters. No matter where its children live, their soul is always here. They may have ideological differences, but they have similar stands on Ethiopia`s true identity.
