Terrorist TPLF stooges posing as refugees

Sustaining a huge blow in battlefields in the hands of the Ethiopian Defense Forces and state paramilitaries, the terrorist group is taking the war into the media to mislead the international community. The terrorist group and its stooges have been orchestrating strings of fabricated stories aired mostly by some TPLF sympathizers’ media outlets to buy excuses from the international community.

Since recently, the coordinated media campaign against the Ethiopian government has been intensifying. The campaign is being led by members of the group who pose as refugees in Sudan. Some of the terrorist group’s fighters have been carrying the Identity Cards of the UNHCR and other humanitarian agencies. Besides, engaging in funning false information, these criminals have been taking part in an attempted incursion into Ethiopia from Sudan-occupied border areas.

The so-called Humera massacre echoed by CNN and other international media outlets is part of the continued disinformation campaign to tarnish the Ethiopian government and equate the series of atrocities being committed by the terrorist group.

The sources quoted in the CNN reports are reported to be members of the terrorist group and the frame of the report appeared to be one-sided, many argue. Even those who set their foot in the location of the alleged massacre have portrayed another different picture.

“There is no reality in the western media coverage’s… absolutely ridicules,” he said. Talking about the allegations by TPLF, he noted that he has observed none of the allegations during his visit to Humera,” said historian, novelist, and journalist Jeff Prearce recently told Break Through media that he has investigated the ground reality with his eyes. The information which is being disseminated and the factual events in the war-torn area are completely different.

“According to a military source, the TPLF was preparing those bodies to pretend as a massacre took place. So, the Ethiopian government anticipated that this [the current allegation] would be coming out. Interestingly, not one of the stories I have seen so far referenced this. It is ridiculous,” Pearce said.

Latest reports are also coming that those who committed the atrocities in Ethiopia are shielding themselves under the banner of refugees and receiving military training. Some have been carrying Identity Cards of refugees and aid workers. There have been reports that some humanitarian agencies in Sudan are seriously providing criminals involved in Maikadra Massacre with a firm cover, according to credible sources.

Some Sudanese forces are also working with the criminals to stage violence in Ethiopia. Months ago, it was remembered that the terrorist TPLF forces entered Sudan refugees after committing Maikadra massacres.

The agencies aim at neither meeting humanitarian quests of the needy nor facilitating support access; they have rather provided members of the terrorist group with a range of training, multiple cards targeting at increasing Ethiopians anguish.

Amhara Region President, Agegnehu Teshager said recently that the militants of the terrorist group who tried to gain cover in the region have a UN refugee Identity Card (ID.) Those militants were trying to defeat the extremists in the name of Qimant, who were carrying Sudanese aid.

By the same token, this group has now finalized military training and is preparing themselves to attack their motherland to serve the interests of their dispatchers.

Refugees registered under the umbrella of the UNHCR have been moving heaven and earth with the intention of breaking Ethiopian borders in different directions and effectuating their hidden agenda.

As the Agency does not know the whereabouts of some refugees, they have been getting themselves involved in a number of atrocities that have been taking place in the northern parts of Ethiopia. This in black and white shows the fact that the agency is not discharging its duties and responsibilities as it should be.

Regarding the issue, UNHCR said that it knows information disseminated that some Ethiopian refugees from Tigray registered in Sudan have returned home and engaged in the conflict that has been taking place there.

UNHCR corroborates at regular time intervals if registered immigrants are present to receive generous assistance in the base camp and bring up-to-date its database management system. Nevertheless, for protection reasons, UNHCR does not disclose any information in specific cases, the statement added.

While there has been an unpretentious diminution in the number of Ethiopian refugees in the campus for refugees during recent months, UNHCR failed to authenticate the whereabouts of those who have left encompassing those who may have returned to their motherland.

Asylum status is irreconcilable with meaningful participation in situations of armed conflict. Any recorded immigrants who may have returned to Ethiopia and joined the conflict are no longer considered refugees.

“UNHCR has time after time underscored the significance of upholding the noncombatant and charitable character of asylum, which can be an encounter in armed confrontation.”

UNHCR declared confidently to carry on working with the government of Sudan in favor of their accountability and promptness to sustain this significant principle, which takes account of sorting out designated competitors from the civilian population in the hunt for a safe haven.

A couple of months ago, it is worth recalling that the terrorist TPLF group joined the Sudan refugees on the heels of perpetrating Maikadra exterminations. As a matter of fact, the terrorist group received training from the former Ethiopian Military Attaché TPLF member in New York.

While on the subject, as the terrorist group has almost brought to fruition military training, they are making an effort to embark on attacking their motherland for the love of serving the interest of their cliques.

On the subject of the issue, The National Movement of Amhara (NAMA) Former Chairman and Amhara Rights Advocate, Dessalegn Chanie (Associate Professor) twitted that the UN Refugees Agency in Sudan is seriously providing criminals involved in Maikadra Massacre with a firm cover. The attached documents here are plain testimonies and the smoking gun evidence that is found hidden by a deceased TPLF Terrorist Group fighter who was killed at the war front.

In a similar vein, Political anthropology of African Studies, Professor Jon Abbink on his part twitted that the informal terrorist TPLF group –Samri, has been killed mass in Mai Kadra town in the Wolqait-Kafta Humera district and over 1,500 civilians were slaughtered by knives, machete, and clubs.

Regarding the misconduct of some humanitarian agencies who have been working with the TPLF terrorist group, the Agency for Civil Society Organizations (ACSO) warned that it would take correlative procedures against foreign assistance groups that constitute a threat to Ethiopia’s Sovereignty.

ACSO Deputy Directory-General Fasikaw Molla told The Ethiopian Herald that the Agency does not tolerate civil society organizations working hand-in-glove with Ethiopia’s adversaries over and over again.

“Some aid originations have been working against the vested rights of the country. When the investigations are over and done with, we will take the necessary curative actions. We know the inside out of their hidden undertakings. On top of that, we are making an effort to get to the bottom of the problem working in combination. If endeavors fail, ACSO will take remedial measures ranging from giving warnings to suspensions.

He called on organizations to return to normalcy and respect the rule of law and focus only on the interests of Ethiopia.

It is to be recalled that Doctors Without Borders, the Norwegian Refugees Council, and the Al Maktoum Foundation banned for three months for using unlicensed media and radio equipment as well as illegally importing several undocumented foreign workers.
