Terrorist TPLF’s catalogue of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity

 BY SOLOMON DIBABA

Name any crime prohibited by normative international laws and conventions, terrorist TPLF has committed it. In its barbaric rampage of genocide, it has cold-bloodedly massacred more than 1500 innocent citizens, mostly daily laborers and cobblers from Amhara ethnic group in Mai Kadra, it bombarded and destroyed an entire village in Agamsa in Northern Wollo also massacring an entire family including an infant leaving behind and alone a traumatized family head who also lost his house and property. Terrorist TPLF group even killed livestock and took away all household utensils belonging to various families.

In Gashena, Kimir Dengai, Gaient, Kobo, in Amhara region the same story is repeated. In Nefas Mewucha in Norther Wollo close to Gondar, a branch of the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia was vandalized and looted. At Fenti Resu in Afar Region, terrorist TPLF shelled a clinic, IDP rehabilitation center and food warehouse and killed more than 200 persons including 117 children.

For terrorist TPLF armed groups, rape, theft on individual and public property was a daily business. To the surprise of humanity, the western powers and the US who claim to have the best democratic governments in the world remained silent and indifferent in the face of a visible crime against humanity. Ask yourself a question, what could have they done if all this has happened in their respective countries? If all these terrorist TPLF are partially summed up they would amount to live ethnic cleansing, a phrase that Secretary of State Anthony Blinken used to falsely describe the law enforcement campaign conducted by the government in Tigray

Terrorist TPLF has claimed that it has a balance to settle with the people of Amhara but in practice, as their lunatic leaders have time and again said, they are out to destroy entire Ethiopian territory and replace it with miniature banana republics governed under the tutelage of “The Republic of Tigray”

Some may think that this animal behavior of terrorist TPLF is something that cropped up over the last three years. However, that is not the case. Ever since its foundation in 1975 and according to Tigray Manifesto of 1976, TPLF terrorists dreamed of wiping out Ethiopia from the face of the globe.

The ICC moved very quickly in incriminating former Sudanese President Omar Al Bashir for crimes against humanity in Darfur but when terrorist TPLF continued to commit crimes against humanity and war crimes over the last 9 months, this reputed organization was dead silent with a typical double standard not expected from this global criminal court.

In 1991, the US betrayed the people of Ethiopia by supporting TPLF dominated EPRDF to come to power and opened up 27 years of tyranny, oppression and human rights violation on the people of Ethiopia, sponsored ethnic conflicts, prepared and used the 1994 federal constitution to serve the socio-economic interest of terrorist TPLF governed Tigray. For many, those 27 years will go as a reign of terror mentioned in the French Revolution.

The western countries and the US, the UN and its systems, human rights organizations never condemned terrorist TPLF for all the crimes it committed since November 4, 2020. Why? Because they were always attempting to lure Ethiopia into a series of tricks which included a dialogue with a terrorist organization, ceasefire, transition government etc. Terrorist TPLF looted billions of USD accumulated from the profits it received on its operation on 34 endowment companies which were funded from fund public properties and looted finance from public coffers.

Now the center for conspiracy against Ethiopia is shifting to the UNSC Which is conducting its 8th session in a row only focusing on Ethiopia related issues. Speaking on the occasion of World Humanitarian Day UN Secretary General Antonio Gutierrez said “give peace a chance” in Ethiopia, the Secretary-General appealed for action on three fronts: an immediate end to hostilities; guaranteed, unrestricted humanitarian access, together with the re-establishment of public services in all affected areas; and the creation of conditions that “allow for the start of an Ethiopian-led political dialogue to find a solution for the crisis”. “Such a dialogue can contribute to addressing the underlying causes of the conflict and ensure Ethiopian voices direct the pathway to peace”, the UN chief explained, calling each of these steps “critical” to a peaceful settlement.

UN officials, above all the Secretary General are all aware of the intransigence on the part of terrorist TPLF in sticking to its policy of destroying Ethiopia and its utter refusal of ceasefire and dialogue unless a corridor of outlet is provided to it. Under such conditions in which all global organizations are shy to condiment terrorist TPLF for its actions, what is the point for calling for peace when terrorist TPLF is approaching its doomsday? It is certainly a means to save save a criminal organization that is on a quicksand.
