“Every single thing was worrisome during the terrorist TPLF regime. We were under the yoke of oppression and a tyrant government that did not care about the lives of the population in general except lining up pockets. Their evil deeds cannot be expressed in a few words. Life was a bitter pill to swallow,” said Emebet Assefa in a faint voice and teary eyes.
The terrorist group turned the lives of millions of Ethiopians into a living hell. They were able to loot Ethiopia’s abundant resources and fully get themselves involved in corruption time and time again, she added
“Despite TPLF’s evil acts, the international community was turning a deaf ear to the voices of suffering. In consideration of the foregoing, I was persistently cursing my luck.”
Embet’s statements are very shared by millions of Ethiopians, who have been suffering in the hands of the terrorist group.
TPLF terrorist group on its watch has been cracking down on dissidents and locking thousands of Ethiopians behind bars on the pretext of fighting terrorisms. The infamous group was widely known for throwing thousands of Oromo youths in prison under the guise of lame reasons that did not hold water.
At the time when the terrorist TPLF organization was in power, they designated OLF as a terrorist organization and committed atrocities. They as well claimed the lives of thousands of the Oromo youths under the pretense of various lame reasons. The terrorist OLF seems to have failed to recall the fact that they slaughtered quite a lot of Oromo youths who went to celebrate Irreechaa holiday at Bishoftu.
The terrorist group even after its removal has been orchestrating violence here and there. In fact, their envisioned target was to make Ethiopia unmanageable by triggering clashes along ethnic and religious lines. Even worse, they managed to cause horrendous crimes in various parts of Ethiopia taking account of Gura Ferda, Western Wollega, Shashemene, and many related things.
Moreover, the terrorist group has been making divisive rhetoric and undermining certain ethnic groups through labeling and naming. After its removal from office, the group has been trying to present itself as the guardian of nations, nationalities and is trying to tap shoulders with groups that it branded terrorist organizations.
Once, Getachew Reda the then Communication Minister now the Terrorist mouthpiece told Al-Jazeera that on the subject of OLF, “You see the problem with these people; Lencho’s organization were around over the past fifty years. It is a long time. They have never done anything for the Oromo people. They have been flagging every issue in the name of the Oromo’s but they have not done anything.”
OLF is a faction that could hardly organize and get the Oromo peasants well-armed for their autonomy. Following the weakness of the regime to successfully carry out its assignments, there are some people who are flying OLF’s flag even after it has been downgraded to a bush bandit, Getachew also told local media when he was in federal post.
Despite severed past, TPLF and OLF have become partners in crime, killing inocent civilians and displacing hundreds of thousands across the country. The two groups were later designated as terrorist organizations by the Ethiopian parliament, a move agreed by Ethiopians. The groups have been claiming the lives of Oromo and Tigray people while stirring violence across the country.
As expected, the terrorist TPLF and the Oromo Liberation Front (OLF) Shenie have lately announced an alliance against Ethiopian government.
As a matter of fact, the wished-for target of the two terrorist organizations is destabilizing the country across the full range of contexts. This unholy marriage will not help them achieve the desired goal by any means whatsoever seeing that the various Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples of Ethiopia have been working hand in glove more than ever before.
In an interview with local media, Taye Bogale, a historian said that the alliance of the two terrorist organizations is unholy. “The two organizations have been working to destabilize the country and forming the Republics of Tigray and Oromia.
The terrorist TPLF group is responsible for every crime committed in Oromia and Amhara states. They do the whole thing behind closed doors. If truth be told, the main reason why the terrorist TPLF failed to achieve the desired goal in most Oromia cities was on account of the stronger unity of the people of Oromo. The terrorist OLF does not represent the people of Oromo that strongly believe in living in harmony with the various Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples’ of Ethiopia.
“The sources of the two terrorist organizations are TPLF, Egypt, and international originations struggling to destabilize the country,” he wrapped up.
TPLF’s three-decade rule was characterized by the egregious violation of human rights, corruption, and self-enrichment at a grand scale. Public investment projects were awarded to members of the regime.
Contrary to their original forms, the terrorist groups have been preaching hatred and division while presenting themselves as the guardian of nations, nationalities. In reality, however, the terrorist group has been until this day anti-diversity and constitution. Suffice it to mention its current belligerent acts against the people of Afar and Amhara.
Sowing the seeds of hatred and discord among Ethiopians has long been embodied in the DNA of the terrorist groups. Division is what truly defines the terrorist groups. The term unity was not on the dictionary of the group. Even worse, talking about the harmony of the people is missing in the dictionary of the violent groups.
To Ethiopians’ dismay, the terrorist TPLF group was bringing into play a number of strategies with a view to taking control of every region of the country. Regrettably, as they were the backseat drivers, the regional governments had no right to do whatever they wanted in their respective regions.
Commenting on the issue, Office of the Prime Minister, Press Secretary Billene Seyoum noted, “The new thing on Wednesday’s public declaration of the terrorist TPLF and Shenie groups that they have acknowledged their alliance publicly is a pronouncement of the destructive activities against the stability of Ethiopia as a state.”
Of course, the two terrorist groups have been committing all kinds of atrocities in Ethiopia particularly, during the past three years, and they are still working as leading destructive actors against the stability of the nation and terrorism is the general feature of both sides.
TPLF and Shenie were behind a number of violent attacks on civilians in various parts of the country to reverse the reform that was brought about through the struggle of the Ethiopian people. Many people died and a large number of people were injured and thousands displaced. Furthermore, they made communities live in constant fear and undermined trust in the government. There are pieces of evidence that clearly show that all of these crimes were carried out to destabilize, weaken and endanger the very existence of the nation, she added.
