‘A Soul Place’ book launched

An anthology of poetry written by 10 poets on various issues and feelings has been launched on 29 July 2021.

The book titled Nefs Bota which literally means “A Soul Place” is on the market at a cost of 200 ETB.

On the launching ceremony, poet Yohannes Habtemariam has presented a brief review in which he described the book as inspiring for its beautiful and meaningful cover, indefinite title and variety of poems ordered with proper arrangement.

According to Yohannes, title of the book stimulates readers’ appetite to read and extract the main concept it comprises.

“We have exerted our utmost efforts to provide a unique book that comprises valuable poems with variety illustrated by sketches and matching text fonts with ideas and feelings,” one of the ten poets Yadel Tizazu noted.

He expressed that COVID 19 pandemic enabled the poets to get more time to discuss and publish the book. However, he stated publishing books has become a challenging task these days due to economic factors.

The book incorporates various poems focusing on love, beauty, memory, life, patriotism and so on. The writers call a soul place – the space that appears after the separation (death) of the composition of human body, it was learnt.

The anthology contained various poems written by Yadel Tizazu, Yalew Azanaw aka Dibekulu Geta, Dagim Hiwot, Muhammad Idris and Michael Minasie among others.
