Despite the existence of vivid evidences on crimes against humanity, particularly on Ethiopian in Tigray that the TPLF has been left free to commit, the international community and UN systems are sitting on the fence when some 170 female members of the TPLF are being used as sex slaves and are subjected to undesirable pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases triggered by gender violence on their own kith and kin.
After massacring the members of the Northern Command and daily laborers in Mai Kadra, Humera and Metekel, TPLF forced thousands of women and youth in Tigray to flee to Sudan to recruit them for the atrocities it planned to conduct on the people of Ethiopia.
TPLF is now openly massacring Eretrian refugees hosted by Ethiopia and as if the UNCHR has proved of this, not a single word has been uttered by this international organization established to uphold the Geneva Convention on refugees.
A couple of days back Reuters, quoting witnesses on the ground reported that TPLF forces are abducting, torturing and killing refuges shelter in 3 refugee camps in Tigray totaling more than 30 thousand but in spite of the fact that they have full information about all this, the western powers are deliberately silent on this most urgent humanitarian issue evident in the Horn of Africa.
In makeshift camps where there are no medical treatments or clinics worthy of the name and in spite of the fact that UNHCR is solely responsible for the wellbeing of refugees, particularly women and child refugees who need special treatments.
A TPLF army commander and medic pausing as a refugee who was captured by the Ethiopian armed forces while transporting armaments and sat phones into Tigray said that the appalling conditions of women resulted from TPLF’s wrong polices and their dictatorial tendencies they pursue with no care for human rights. The former commander said eye diseases and AWD are common in all the four camps occupy by refugees from Tigray.
Again, TPLF is subjecting the entire population in Tigray into an irreversible reign of terror and poverty while its leadership were enjoying themselves through billions of dollars and properties they have robbed from the people of Ethiopia.
Through thirty years of indoctrination, TPLF has sown the spirit of animosity in the minds of the population in Tigray and was advocating for statehood by seceding from Ethiopia. Although Tigray was one of the main centers of Ethiopian civilization and history, they either taught their youth a distorted history of Ethiopia or even taught them to deny their Ethiopian citizenship.
The west seems to bless all the criminal activities of the TPLF and asks the Ethiopian government to open dialogue with a criminal organization that is recruiting children into war with their own country. Despite their false commitment to democracy and human rights, the western countries prioritize their own national interests and will ally with TPLF to destroy the statehood, unity and territorial integrity of this historic country. The western countries intents is to establish a puppet regime in Ethiopia, a regime which would blindly serve them by receiving alms in the form of aid. On the other hand, TPLF does not forecast that the west will betray them as they have recently done on the Government of Afghanistan.
In alliance with Sudan and Egypt, the USA and other western countries are doing all they can to somehow stop Ethiopia from developing its economy by building GERD on the country’s territory.
Apart from the policy that the western powers are pursuing visa vise TPLF, they want to keep Ethiopia in a vicious circle of aid and never cooperate with Ethiopia on the country’s desire for self-sufficiency in all sectors of economic development. This is a typical post-colonial policy that the west is pursing in Africa and the rest of less developed countries.
Sources close to TPLF current war strategy denote that the terrorist force is implementing three tier strategy of attack in which children are involved in the first two tiers. I the very front row, children with 2 grenades for each are mobilized to throw them at the combat forces. Their age ranges from 8-15 years. In the second tier 1 AK rifle is assigned for three kid soldiers with age from16-20 the last and the third tier is composed of Tigray Special Forces and militia with middle level automatic guns. This certainly indicates that child soldiers are being used as shield to cover trained soldiers. They are made to drink cannabis in their tea to blindly run to the front of professional soldiers armed to the teeth.
The whole strategy is geared towards establishing various banana republics out of Ethiopia and weaken down the morale of the army and the population so that they would be subservient to the dominance of wester neocolonialism in the Horn of Africa.
The conspiracy of the western powers backfired by promoting solid unity among the entire peoples of Ethiopia who are already ready to save their country from balkanization. The west preferred TPLF to Ethiopia. As the late Emperor Haile Selassie noted in this speech to the League of Nations, history will judge betwwen the peoples of Ethiopia and western neo-colonialists.
