Ethiopians at home and abroad have been prioritizing the issue of their country than any concern they do have these days and work hand in glove to help Ethiopia successfully resist the impacts of the bad times it has been facing.
Ethiopia is erroneously perceived and illegitimately treated as a result of the systematic falsehood propaganda and fictitious narratives produced by the terrorist Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) leftovers especially following their irreversible defeat followed by their stubborn move and started playing victim card.
The country has right now capitalized on two indispensible moves: the filling of the second phase of the dam and the 6th national elections. These two mega steps are expected to push Ethiopia towards the next level of success and help change the socioeconomic and democratization trajectory.
However, Ethiopia has now encountered challenges at home due to the futile attempts run by remnants of the dead junta and those who were highly benefited from the looted national wealth abroad, when the sources of their revenue get dried. No matter how enormous and wearisome the attempts to make Ethiopia instable and underdeveloped, all efforts to come out of poverty and overcome the trend of dependency are highly fueled as every citizenry is doing their level best to make history and declare Ethiopia’s renaissance.
Yes, history is being made. With hard-hitting investigations, innovative analysis and deep dives into a range of national issues conducted by a number of Ethiopians, Ethiopia’s friends and those who would like to push Ethiopia’s success forward, multifarious success have been recorded and remarkable changes are well witnessed.
Lemma Yifrashewa (Ph.D) from Germany spoke of a number of issues about the current situations and proposed possible solutions to address the problems Ethiopia is being baffled at present. There is nothing the terrorist TPLF didn’t do against Ethiopia and Ethiopians. They have indiscriminately sacked anyone whom stood against their ideology, destructive approach and anti-Ethiopia stance no matter how what their ethnic belonging is.
As to him, the bad legacy the terrorist organization and its leftovers has provided Ethiopia with hard time and is severely challenging as it has inculcated in the minds of the current generation. They killed one generation, and sowed seeds of rivalry, hostility, suspicions spirit among the citizens, and got their sense of belongingness to their country dehydrated. However, thanks to the reform came following Abiy Ahmed’s assiduous thought, the buried national sentiment and unity of citizens has now been recovering and revived well.
“The prime objective of the western media predominantly has been serving the interest of whom they vowed to pay well setting the national interests and sovereignty of this respected and great nation—Ethiopia aside,” said Dr. Lemma.
As to him, the very thing that is expected of citizens at home is consolidating unity and run activities in a harmonized manner. The diaspora has been doing all their level best to help assist their motherland using knowledge, wealth, expertise and whatsoever for the development of their country. As the landscape for journalists has shifted a lot in recent years—from heavy censorship to freeing up under the leadership of Dr. Abiy Ahmed, activities are now run in a very streamlined and responsible manner.
Political parties, civil societies, even religious organizations and private individuals have now been empowered, and Ethiopia’s renaissance is rambling around the corner. Hence, the international media has to confront with the reality on the ground in Ethiopia and stand by the side of this country, Dr. Lemma added.
“The time for action from the international community is now. Ethiopians at home and abroad have been keen more than ever before for assisting their county to become east African icon. We, the diaspora community, have well fueled the positive stride of Ethiopia at any cost. Besides, we will continue assisting our country to successfully overcome all its challenges and expand the works undertaken with a view to ensuring law and order, democratic culture, setting up accountable and independent institutions so as to help citizens enjoy having well respected human rights, exercise democracy, magnify good governance, fuel conflict mitigation efforts and so on,” he underlined.
According to Dr. Lemma, over the past two and half years since Abiy Ahmed became a Prime Minister, the contribution via the diaspora in Ethiopia’s economy has shown a significant growth. Diaspora’s contribution to the successful completion of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) has so far been immense and it is the reflection of their sense of belongings to their motherland.
“The diaspora will invest significantly in the years to come in the financial services sector since they have the legal security of ownership, unlike the past. All fertile grounds are already created; what is left is our commitment and willingness to invest at home and get our country prospered,” he underscored.
Frankly speaking, said Dr. Lemma, Ethiopia will unquestionably become the star of Africa and the very strategic ally of the rest of the world. Henceforth, this hard fact has to be well known and the US and some western countries have to change their mind to help Ethiopia climb the success peak.
As to him, the very important thing that needs to be taken into account is Ethiopia doesn’t have any intention to harm its neighbors and others whom it has established bilateral or trilateral relations instead of enjoying growing together following a win-win style.
Yes, he added, Ethiopia is one of the largest and influential sub-Saharan Africa countries with a population of over 110 million. So it has to work from dawn to dusk to well feed its citizens. One of the very weapons to defeat poverty is the construction of the GERD. If this is so, why are other neighboring and/or some countries of the rest of the developed world envy of its relentless journey towards renaissance?
This question has to be well reply to so as to devise possible solutions to the problems. Interestingly, as to him, the diaspora have the freedom to speak freely, assemble and organize under the constitutions and laws of the host countries including the US. Even they can speak truth to power in ways that is not imaginable in their own homeland. However, things change and time has come for Ethiopia as well as for the continent to well rise. This time around is the rising of Ethiopia. The rising of Africa as whenever Ethiopia brings about change, all nations of the continent in general and those of the Horn in particular bring change.
He said, “Ethiopia is making tomorrow today. Whatever harsh and trying the propaganda the leftovers of the terrorist TPLF have been producing day in and day out, it has always been aborted thanks to the true patriots of Ethiopia at home and overseas. The power with truth and honest move has by far excelled the fib fabrications and contrived narratives bought at the expense of poor Tigraways in particular and the entire Ethiopians in general.”
The red line crossed—the movement the stubborn terrorist TPLF to attack the Northern Command of the defense Force—has excellently fostered their journey to the graveyard. They are now buried for good. However, all Ethiopians have to be well aware of the conspiracy the leftovers, bodied who were sharing the plundered national wealth though it doesn’t have any significant impact, have orchestrated should get well dried, he opined.
As stated earlier, Dr. Lemma exhorted his idea stating that the US and some other western countries are expected to refrain themselves from intervening in the internal affairs of Ethiopia, and they have to let it move forward as the latter is making its tomorrow today!
