Dear readers let me start with a total lie from AFP posted on June 6, 2021 and quoted by ahramonline the same day with a headline, ‘IT WAS A WAR, ETHNIC KILLINGS CLOUDS ETHIOPIA’s ELECTION BUILD UP.’
The destruction continues a pattern of unrest that has blighted the tenure of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, winner of the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize, and now threatens to disrupt elections in which he’ll seek a new term.
Apparently, this lead sentence from the news is based on the doctored news officially discredited and exposed before all to see and read. Earlier, ahramonline and AFPs shameless hoax was based on GERD.
Now that the completion of GERD has become irreversible, they are trying to meddle into Ethiopia’s National Election and defamation campaign on the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed accusing him of disrupting the election which actually is none of their business.
Conferring with the regional administrators on an evaluation process regarding the preparations to be made for the 6th National Election, Abiy said, “Our efforts to make the 6th National Election democratic, peaceful, legitimate and credible has produced encouraging results to date but more is to be done,…”
AFP and ahramonline cooperated in fabricating false news which stated that the Prime Minister “will seek a new term”. What is their evidence if not the doctored video that was issued in their attempt to disrupt the upcoming election in Ethiopia in cooperation with the terrorist TPLF? When their masters are calling for reconciliation and dialogue, they come to their assistance by fabricating false news.
Another online news company called Garowe online came up with false news on June 5, 2021 that “Ethiopia charges ENDF top generals over Tigray war” the same online states on its footnote on a picture in which a man and women appear in a refugee camp in Sudan, stating, “Ethiopian soldiers fleeing to camps in Sudan. The two persons had no uniforms and do not pause as soldiers.
Let me proceed. On its issue of June 5, 2021, Blumberg came out with sensational news by Simon Marks which read, “Almost all civilians living in Ethiopia’s Tigray region are in need of life-saving aid and a famine may have already begun in the war-torn area, according to a memorandum by a British diplomat.

Blumberg report is out to discredit the efforts underway in Tigray to provide relief support for the need and have so far reached more than 67% of the needy population and where is the danger for famine? While partners provided 33% of the relief aid, the GOE covered 67% of the relief supplies.
In a related development, it is reported that the USAID is getting ready to provide tractors along with 3 technicians for each to help support the Ministry of Agriculture and the regional government to enable farmers during the rainy reason to till their farmlands on time to once again become self-sufficient in food.
Regarding the incidents of sexual abuse and rape, the Attorney General briefed local and foreign journalists that 53 servicemen from the DFE were taken to the courts of law. As stated earlier, the main goal of the fake news on Ethiopia’s election is to incite chaos and civil war so that terrorist TPLF and its supporters would pave the way to destroy the democratic political order in the country and replace it by Ethno-fascistic transition government.
It is to be clear that all Ethiopians here and in the diaspora, except for the terrorist TPLF supporters and their lobbyists will never allow the election to be disrupted. This is the reality which is becoming hard for the adversaries of this country to swallow.
Yellow journalism and commercialized hoax news is in favor of fascism and not democracy or good governance. In gross departure from their editorial policies and rules and regulations, international media outlets profit by spreading false and unverified news particularly on less developed countries but stand for services for global multi-national corporations. The case of fake and distorted news on Ethiopia is the circumstance at hand.
No matter how immense the impact of falsehood fabrication and fictitious narratives organized by terrorist TPLF remnants and its affectionate bodies, Ethiopia’s genuine trekking towards the summit of success can never be altered.
