ADDIS ABABA – The main aim of some foreign powers for meddling in internal affairs of Ethiopia is entirely to create a puppet government here like the defunct TPLF regime. said renowned politician Andargachew Tsige. In an interview with Ethiopian Press Agency (EPA), Andargachew stated that some countries have been leaving no stone unturned to resurrect the defunct TPLF as this terrorist group used to serve their narrow interests.
According to him, a given developing country’s government that has established slave and master relationship with the West would never have the popular support of its people apart from letting the sufferings of the general public to continue . Some West countries have realized that the Ethiopia’s reformist government would never be their puppet , he ,therefore, said that they are mounting maximum pressure on current government .
Andargachew said that the West will destabilize countries, if they fail to have puppet governments. Americans, in particular, cooperate with any dictatorship as long as it serves their interests, he said, adding that they never said a word when the TPLF government plundered Ethiopia for 27 years. “Americans do not have the moral authority to teach us about democracy.”
Andargachew stressed that extensive work needs to be done to prevent propagandas of the foreign forces. In this regard, he said, Ethiopian Diasporas are trying their best. Meanwhile, a campaign aiming to oppose the interference of the West on internal affairs of Ethiopia has begun recently by prominent and influential Ethiopians under a theme: “Harmony for National Glory!”
