The indomitable Ethiopian patriot

There is no gainsaying the fact that Ethiopia possesses a wide spectrum of heroes and heroines in the left, right and center of the country. In the past, Ethiopian patriots had successfully driven out invaders given that their country was their soul, blood and bone. They had really paid a lot of huge sacrifices for their motherland time and again without exaggeration. Ethiopian patriots did not compromise on the sovereignty of their country and never got themselves involved in anything which tarnished the image of their country come what may.

As foreign invaders did not have the faintest idea about the heroism of Ethiopians, they made an effort to encroach on Ethiopia by force and control every nook and cranny of the country. Though the Italian invaders left no stone unturned to make their dream become a reality, all their efforts went for nothing following the heroic deeds of the true sons and daughters of Ethiopia.

The intended target of this writer is not to write about the success stories of quite a lot of Ethiopian patriots, but to talk about one of the patriots whose fame had spread worldwide through his effective war stories. To begin with, he goes by the name of patriot Habte Selassie Belayneh. He was born to his mother Manalebish Bedilu and to his father Belayneh Betewilign. He was raised in the former province of Tegulet and Bulga in Kesem Woreda at a place called Wubet

When patriot Habte Selassie reached school age, he successfully attended at Celestial school and ended up joining the bodyguard considering enthusiasm to serve his country from foreign invaders. He was a gifted fighter who was on familiar terms with the basics of war strategies that warrant victory.

Be that as it may, patriot Habte Selassie joined the battle with other combatant friends .They took part in a battle held in Maychew. The battle was led by Emperor Haile Selassie. At that juncture, military aircrafts were pouring down ill-intentioned and banned poisonous. Considering the danger of the war, it was easier said than done to live to tell the tale. Sadly, for a time being he distanced himself from the war owing to the imbalance of the invaders modern war aircrafts.

As fighting with the existing soldiers did not help harvest the fruit of success, advisors prevailed on him to return and thus the emperor retuned to Addis Ababa and headed straight to Geneva with the purpose of appealing to the League of Nations.

On his way to his birthplace, Patriot Dejazmeach Habte Selassie had passed through many ups and downs given that the length and breadth of all roads, leading to his birthplace were surrounded by enemy forces.

Afterwards, he got himself engaged in various battlefields with his combatant friends and embarked on harvesting victory time and again by annihilating quite a lot of enemy forces from the face of Ethiopia all bringing into play his effective war strategies. This being the case, Patriot Dejazmach Habte Selassie had won the hearts and minds of most people in the blink of an eye.

Patriot Dejazmach Habte Selassie was the indomitable lion of Ethiopia. He was a determined fighter who did not hesitate to give his all for his motherland. At the time 88 heavy weapons vehicles of the enemy were burnt to ashes. Patriot Dejazmach Habte Selassie and Fitawirari Jimma Senbete were the leaders of the war. The former had killed two enemy army officers in the war. Besides, in the war which lasted for three days in Alalitu ninety six army officers had been killed from the enemy’s side. Also General Agusti of Italy was killed.

More to the point, Patriot Dejazmach Habte Selassie had killed the enemy force leader, who had killed Ras Desta Damtew and Dejazimach Abera Kassa. Likewise, he had shot dead General Galini in the war which took place at a place called Bulga Gunchi area.

On the morrow, after General Galini had been gunned down, the Italian war jets by mistake provided provisions and bullets to Patriot Habte Selassie’s army. This is because General Galini had been waving the flag of Italy as a sign when on earth he was in want of provinces and weapons for the army. In due course, putting the same strategy into effect, Patriot Dejazmach Habte Selassie was getting provisions and weapons.

Before General Galini was shot down in a war, he was taken by surprise by the successful military exploits of Patriot Dejazmach Habte Selassie. Once the General requested to meet in person Patriot Dejazmach Habte Selassie and thus they met secretly and talked to their hearts’ content. Subsequently, the General ran his fingers through Patriot Dejazmach Habte Selassie’s Afro hair with the purpose of making sure its geniunity. At the end of the day, he confirmed the realness of the hair and returned to his camp safe and sound.

Once upon a time, as ill luck would have it, Patriot Dejazmach Habte Selassie’s son named patriot Seleshi Habte Selassie’s was captured by enemy forces. At that specific point, he was eleven years old. Then a message was sent to him saying, “Yield a hand. Otherwise, we will kill your son.”

“Nothing is above my motherland. If you would like to kill my son, you can execute him in any way you like,” said Patriot Dejazmach Habte Selassie. As a matter of fact, Patriot Dejazmach Habte Selassie had been fighting all his born days to deliver fair justice. Earlier, two Italian soldiers had been captured losing their way and as a result the Ethiopian patriots sought to kill them almost immediately.

To the surprise of everyone, Patriot Dejazmach Habte Selassie prohibited them saying the enemy soldiers were not captured fighting in a war but losing their way. Eventually, he sent the enemy forces to their camp by assigning a person who would show them the way.

When the enemy soldiers returned to their place, they freed many distant and near relatives of Patriot Dejazmach Habte Selassie. In fact, many Patriots had been released on the pretext that they were the relative of Patriot Dejazmach Habte Selassie.
