ADDIS ABABA (FBC) –The Executive Committee of the ruling coalition, the Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Party (EPRDF), concluded its three-day meeting last Monday.
In a Twitter post, Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed said: “The three day discussions were concluded in a transparent and democratic manner bringing leaders of the Party closer,”In the last day of the meeting, the Committee approved the draft bylaws of the party after in-depth discussion.
“Today we discussed and passed the bylaws for the newly merged Party,” the Prime Minister added. In its three-day session, the Executive Committee approved merger of the coalition as well as programs and name of the new party.
The name of the newly merged party is “Prosperity Party” and will have president and vice president. The Executive Committee sent the bylaws of the newly merged party to the Council of EPRDF for approval.
