ADDIS ABABA – UNHCR High Commissioner Filippo Grandi appreciated Ethiopia’s key role in bringing peace in the region and in finding solutions to refugees.
He also assured that UNHCR will scale up its support to ensure Ethiopian returnees for their sustainable reintegration. According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), the Commissioner also called on the international community to increase its support to Ethiopia, which he said shoulders substantial responsibility in hosting refugees.
The Commissioner’s response came yesterday at the 70th session of the Executive Committee of the High Commissioner’s Programme, which has been taking place in Geneva, Switzerland from October 7-11.
