In fields of green where rivers flow,
With oxen strong, the seeds they sow.
Beneath the sun’s warm, golden light,
They toil and labor, day and night.
Wives bring forth the Tela’s cheer,
To strengthen hearts, to calm each fear.
With children near, and cattle close,
In unity, they find their dose.
Through rain’s embrace and sun’s warm kiss,
In every struggle, there’s a bliss.
For in the soil, their dreams take flight,
Ethiopia’s heart shines ever bright.
