
ADDIS ABABA – A celebrity sports festival is organized to raise funds for humanitarian efforts by The Addis Ababa City Administration Youth and Sports Bureau, in collaboration with Kedame Media Advertising.
The event was announced at a press conference held here yesterday.
The festival will feature a football tournament taking place on May 1 and May 4, 2025, at Ledeta Birmo Stadium. According to the organizers, the tournament will bring together prominent journalists, artists, singers, and TikTok influencers, all joining forces to support elderly individuals and people living with mental and physical disabilities in Macedonia.
Speaking at the press conference, the Addis Ababa City Administration Youth and Sports Bureau, Public Relations Head Mehari Temesgen highlighted the significance of the Celebrities Sports Festival. He described it as a vibrant initiative that not only promotes sports and community spirit but also serves as a vital fundraising platform to support vulnerable populations in Mekedonia.
Temesgen encouraged widespread participation and emphasized the role of such events in uniting the community around a meaningful cause. In addition to the celebrity football tournament, a variety of competitions and activities will be held, inviting engagement from the youth and the wider public.
The festival aims to raise funds for the Revenue Fund for Macedonia, ensuring sustained support for those in need while celebrating the power of sports to inspire social good.
