Locked eyes

In line we stood, the taxi dream in sight,

Your chocolate face, a vision pure and bright.

A glance exchanged, a spark from long ago,

In silent waves, my heart began to glow.

Boldly I sat, beside this queen so fair,

The tales of life within her eyes laid bare.

Two little treasures in a form of a photo,

reflections of her grace,

Yet still I saw a longing in her face.

With each soft word, I praised the light she hold,

A gentle warmth, a story yet untold.

I spoke of dreams, the flames of days gone by,

And whispered hopes that love could never die.

If hearts can leap beyond the bounds we bear,

Together, dear, we’d weave a love so rare.

In moments shared, let past and future meet,

With courage found, our souls could feel complete.
