Easter expo to connect buyers, merchants

ADDIS ABABA – The Easter Expo is set to open on April 1, 2025, at the Addis Ababa Exhibition Center, introducing an innovative approach to enhance the shopping experience for buyers.

Organized by Tamesol Communications in collaboration with the Ethiopian Lottery Service, the expo aims to provide a dynamic platform for merchants and consumers to connect.

During a recent press briefing, Ethio Telecom’s Digital Payment and Solutions Management Director Muhmmed Abdulsemed announced that all transactions at the expo will be conducted via Telebirr, with a special 10% discount available for attendees who use the service.

Co-founder and General Manager of Tamesol Communications, Solomon Kebede, emphasized that Ethiopia’s potential is vast, and holding only three or four exhibitions annually is not enough. “We are committed to expanding this concept further,” he stated, adding that 300 spaces have been allocated for merchants and enterprises expected to participate in the expo.

What sets this Easter Expo apart from previous editions is its innovative approach: buyers will have the option to order products online, with Ride transport services facilitating direct home delivery, making shopping more convenient than ever.

Additionally, Solomon highlighted that the expo will foster business-to-business (B2B) connections, enabling merchants to engage in better trade collaborations.

Moreover, food will be available for all attendees, including merchants and guests, at affordable prices within the expo.

Exhibition Center and Marketing Sales Manager Kassahun Diriba stated that the venue has been upgraded to create a more conducive environment for merchants, ensuring an enhanced experience as demand continues to grow.
